Really, Beauty. Didn't you hear what he said to you earlier? The place runs itself, he has no magic and he works as something of an ambassador there! Didn't you hear when he said contracts?! Those are some big clues that forcing your father into that as well as you is something he HAD to do.
Again, you sound like you're trying to convince yourself, Beauty. Yes, you're a prisoner, and yes, the Beast played a part in your imprisonment...but I think this chapter implied that he, too, is bound here. Can he leave this place? It seems like he can from the prologue, but I doubt he can do so for very long, and even then, he probably can only do so under certain conditions (probably in enforcing the contracts of others, I would guess). And hahaha, Beauty DID keep those flowers. She's definitely warming up to the Beast, despite her uncertainty. To the next chapter!
