Can we just all take a moment and think of how freaking AWESOME Beauty is? As soon as she realizes she's not definitely about to die (surely she must realize there's a SLIGHT chance that the Beast may not hold himself back?)she's like, "Well, a one percent chance of not dying is good enough for me" and immediately says, "Are you hurt?" The girl must know that, considering how he just snarled at her and was feasting on a deer, he's probably physically okay. But her first concern is STILL HIM. And in the final panel we see her, she seems so full of compassion.

On the Beast side of things--I JUST REALIZED AS I WAS TYPING THAT HE'S TRYING TO STAND UP. OH MY GOSH. I mean, I looked at that middle panel, and I knew he was fighting himself and all that, but look--he's trying to stand up. He's trying to be a MAN again, not a BEAST. I thought I was going to talk about the eyes in the bottom left panel but nope nope nope, that middle panel is the one that's ripped out my heart and stomped on it this page.

Sometimes I feel like I should stop leaving comments because they all inevitably look like, "Ilu Beauty! AWWW, Beast! IM IN PAIN!" But, but, I need SOME way of relieving the feels!

Dear ms Meagan for the picture of beast and beauty falling I just came up with an idea that you can add that to a scene. May be beauty had fallen off the side of the stairs that over looks the main door and the beast caught her and he used his body to save her and he got hit in the head and passed out and in that scene you can give images of his past and maybe how he turned into the beast. Before waking up in his room or in a guest room since beauty doesn't know all of the rooms. Just an idea.

I'm with sheshallnotbenameless-- LOVE love love our Beauty! I can't wait to see her reaction to that reply, too. I love how she looks almost hurt in that bottom panel.

Poor Beast, you're gonna feel this in the morning!

[You can say that again...]

Beauty brings out the best in Beast!
She motivates him to strive for his better nature.
To place his feet firmly on the road to redemption.

Is the 'grnch' the sound of his spine trying to realign to bipedal form, or the sound of the guard-rail protesting under his weight?

Either way, absolutely fantastic.

Such an emotional moment, it really does capture few and sadness and transitioning from one to the other in this.

I think it's against humanity laws to keep us in suspense like this for so long.

The fact that Beauty recovers so quickly from sheer terror like that, enough to ask whether the Beast is hurt as he struggles to stand (regaining some semblance of humanity), speaks highly of her courage. It's also so heartbreaking that he's so desperate for her not to see him like this. I can understand his fear, and considering what almost happened, Beauty would probably do well to heed him and return to her room. That she hesitates like she does is very touching.

What RIPS MY FREAKING HEART OUT about this page...
In the beginning, he politely requested that Beauty look him right in the eye, so there could be no mistaken what he was.

Now, he is BEGGING her to look away. Seeing him this way is too much, to frightening... too... close.
Because THIS is who he is, not the proper dinner companion... but THIS... a true beast. (his thoughts not mine :D)

Well thank you! I'm enjoying making the comments! lol. BTW, you can call me "Tol" Everyone does... mostly because it's a heck of a lot easier to type than TolkienOverTwilight :)

So to pretend that this post isn't totally off topic... Doodler, I just noticed the blood as well! We have to be observant in this black and white world!

I've been on a binge on this comic all afternoon and have been a quiet observer; I'm loving everything, just loving it. But this page hit me hard. HARD. I can hear his voice, raw with shame and horror! The mouth that was moments ago tearing through flesh like a king strains common man-made words through clouded thoughts and snarls. Ah! *blubbers*
