Hello, Dear Readers! Following the Entr'Acte, we'll be seeing some of the lovely guest art you submitted over the course of October. See you all in Act Two!
Interesting. At first I thought this might be a continuation of the prologue, but judging from the slight differences in wording I'm thinking now that it might be a parallelism instead. Can't wait!
So we say goodbye to act one and hello to a short entr'acte! As other readers have said, this could be a continuation of the prologue (which I think it might be, given who is talking here - though whether the voiceover in the prologue is fixed to that point in time, and not spoken sometime before it, is now unclear). I adore how you're weaving the concept of equivalent exchange into this, Megan. All wishes should come with a price, and the fact that this person is willing to pay anything is usually an indication that they don't really know what they're getting into, or understand the potential consequences of their actions. Certainly it means they're desperate to make ANY bargain, which is always risky....
