Next week instead of our regular updates, there will be a daily guest art update, leading up to the start of Act two! See you there!

Ah yes,
Clear as a smoked hourglass...

I'm just flailing over here.

When she's not looking all creepy, the woman is really beautiful! And wow, assuming she is who I think she is, imagine the guts it took for her to go through with this. Talk about a mother's love. But that also raises the question--how did she know how to find the Beast? I have my theories, but I think I'll keep quiet this time and just watch the action unfold.

By the way, the shoes that look like they have wings? I LOVE THEM. This story...*flailing intensifies*

There's also what looks like a swan motif on her broach, to match the shoes. A little like Beauty's dream? Hmm...

Ooooooh. (Said in the same tone as those alien guys in Toy Story....)

See, now ending the entr'acte on this note implies that Beauty's days could be numbered - because why ask that question unless you intend to provide the answer at a later date? If this is true, then we could have an interesting reversal of what we saw in the Disney movie, where the days in which the Beast could turn back to human (and thus have a chance at a life he considered worth living) were numbered. In any case, this confirms my suspicion that Beauty's mother (who is utterly gorgeous, by the way) went to bargain for her daughter's life. I love the hints of wings on her shoes, the reflection of fire in her eyes, and the pin on her hood (which kind of remind me of the mockingjay pin, actually). Elise definitely gives off a sense of steely determination, so very different from the eeriness we've seen from her before. Oh, and this confirms my suspicion that Elise and the Beast have met! Yay! All in all, I really, really like this.

Now goodbye, entr'acte, you were most interesting while you lasted!

Megan, mom is missing her beauty mark by her left eye (if indeed this is Beauty's mother). ...yes I am fishing for confirmation, thanks for asking! ;)

...Okay, so, not the father, then.

Well, now I have to keep coming back; things are turning around in ways I never expected, and I really want to see where it's all going. :)
