Also, animals don't have souls? Would the Beast know the truth of that any better than the boy? Does he really consider himself an animal in the bear-dog-deer sense?
That is definitely an adorable haircut the little boy has. He still doesn't look pleased with what he's hearing, and I don't blame him. The idea that beasts don't have souls is probably very haunting for our Beast - who might now think that not only has he lost his human form, but his soul as well (which might make him feel that much more unworthy of love). At the end of this page, we either have someone competing with him for his prey at the end, or we're getting another transition. It's a very smooth transition, if so.
