Some fun facts from my research files!

1) Dogs instinctually know how to kill small prey, but eating their kill is a learned behaviour.

2) The way we clutch our hands and grit our teeth when we see something small and cute is likely a remnant of our own instinctive kill mechanism

3) lions actually strangle their prey, clamping down on the animal's windpipe until it ceases to struggle.

Have a nice weekend, all!

I have to wonder about the eyes being so wide at the end... what has surprised the beast 0_0

Are we meant to infer that he's put Aornis out of her misery? (And that perhaps the Beast feels the same way about the deer as the man did the dog?)

Also, regarding your fact #2: does this mean I may not be alone in saying babies are so cute that I could eat them? Or is that still just weird?

The ferocity with which I grit my teeth when petting our bunny, Delphie, is a bit unsettling.

Yep, he's definitely doubting the idea that beasts don't have souls. Dogs kind of make you wonder that, don't they? Now we see that the Beast has finished his hunt, but that something is WRONG....
