At least he chilled out and he's being honest...still, I want to give him a hug.

I'm quite surprised that Beauty didn't run off again. I wonder how their going to get through this.

I love his one little loose bit of mane sticking out there.

i wonder what beauty's reaction to this will be. I like the way the beast is addressing his animal qualities up front instead of pretending they don't exist but i know that if i was in beauty's shoes I would be asking the question "well then what the hell do you want me to do?" right about now.

I wonder to what extent he's in control of himself -- it could be that he's not making excuses--maybe his "large predatory animal" side literally takes over sometimes. Or maybe not. Who knows?

Being most familiar with rabbits, his posture in the first panel suggests to me that he is about to charge at her and likely do some grunting/oinking.

Then he'll run off and hide behind the couch.

100% accurate.

If he's a right bastard, he'll also bite her ankle, then run like hell before he has to deal with any consequences.

Ouch! Working hard to win friends and influence people, are we?

As Beauty, I'd like to slap him right now-- both for that, and for his playing games about his nature. You can't explain your background, fine. But a basic heads-up about "and sometimes I'm frigging terrifying" instead of just playing gentleman would have been in order.

Of course, this brings to mind-- I've been working under the assumption that he's under the standard true love/ agree to marry curse escape clause. But from the way he's acting now, he either hates himself so much that he doesn't want anyone "stuck" with him, even with the curse broken (and to break it) and is trying to push her away... or we're not seeing the full picture yet. Thoughts?

I agree heartily with the slapping sentiment.

"Pretty about my predations as you do"---ooh, that is an excellent line. ::waits patiently for Beauty to fire back::

It's intriguing how he's hunched over toward a quadrupedal stance in the first panel, then pulls himself upright as he regains control. I -really- want to find out what his curse involves. Can he -really- not eat normally, or is it psychosomatic? How and why does he switch to a beastly mind and stance, and how and why does he switch back? Questions, questions, questions! Come on, Tuesday!

Ahhh, finally all caught up! Beast, you're looking kind of feral in that first panel. In the others, though, you look angry and then like you're calming down a little (good!). Either way, my GOD I love your eyebrows.

But anyway...heh..."I do not have the luxury of being pretty about my predations as you do." Awesome line, but I can't help but think, "Oooh, shots fired!" now. I hope Beauty has a snarky retort to that, I really do. I mean her expression in the third panel is such a "WTF?!" one that I can't help but hope. I guess we'll have to wait until Tuesday to see!

As always, Megan, I'm enjoying your comic very much and am looking forward to more! I'll catch you later!

Sincerely,
Abby

What does he mean that he doesn't have the predations to be pretty as his guest does?

He can't be elegant about his predatory nature the way a human being often can. He cant hide what it is he is and does.

Well, she has her steak on the plate. Still it has been a deer before and it was killed. Not by her, she didnt need to get blood on her hands.

She should know these little details about his beastly side to evaluate him. He is clearly not a normal person and should be handled with care.
