Oooh, hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Holed up with all my siblings this year, and it was as delightful as a mid-80s puppet-populated Christmas special.

I'm typing this from my mother's place, and my mother and grandmother both gave me looks when I read this comic. I couldn't stop a snorting snicker over these two. If they keep blushing much longer, it might burn in and become permanent. :)

Well, Beast, it's good to see that your aversion to being "forward" doesn't have you going backward... ;)

"Mid-80s puppet-populated Christmas special"? Do David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly, and Jim Henson only come to the Kearney household once a year? ;)
MsMegan 28th Dec 4:57 PM, 2014 edit delete reply
Haha it was Muppet Family Christmas, actually, complete with 1987 commercials! David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly live here year-round. Where do you think Beauty got her strident brows?
Ari 30th Dec 10:41 PM, 2014 edit delete reply
I *suspected* Beauty was based off of Sarah! I've always been wondering: how many of us thought part of Paul Bettany's charm is because of his superficial resemblance to Bowie and JConn's connection to each of them?

On average, how long does it take to make one page of your batb comic? I'm curious.
MsMegan 29th Dec 8:51 PM, 2014 edit delete reply
Hey Guest! It depends on how background-heavy a page is. If I have a lot of architectural details to draw it can take up to two days to do a page. if it's mostly closeups and dropping in shadows, like these recent pages, I might be able to finish two in a day! So I guess, between 4 and 12 hours per page, maybe? Less if I can stay off of tumblr...

Megan, you draw such lovely hands (both human and beastly). I really love the first three panels.

I'm sure you don't like hearing this, but this scene reminds me of Belle tending to the Beast's injuries after the wolves in the Disney movie - except in this version, of course, the characters are swapped and it's a bloodthirsty rose thorn that wanted to get a taste of Beauty. Their mutual blushes are the sweetest things!

I simply the fact the you have their parts changed here. Belle is hurt and he attends her ;)

Woah! I'm rereading this and I just realized how similar the cut on Beauty's hand is to a scar I've got! Same placement, length, everything! I'm guessing mine was a bit worse, though, as it gave me a bit of nerve damage and Beauty's (thankfully) doesn't seem too bad

What a coincidence, though!

Queen Guinevere and Lancelot, hehe.
