I love how up front the story is about this. And the panel where she openly snaps is beautifully drawn.

Can beasts cry?

Also, I love that Beast still has that 'crying person, ack, what do I do' look.

Choose your words wisely Beast! Speaking crying woman is like trying to win a game of poker with nothing but jokers... you have to play it right! (Bluff if you have too...)

Oh my Gooooooood. This hit mt like a freight train. He has NOOO idea what to do! I know what it's like to see someone you care about cry and not know if it's okay to touch them, comfort them. It SUCKS. (don't BLOW IT Beast...)

Beauty's been holding up so well on the surface, it's shocking to see her actually cry. This is so true to life... She's right - she needs a friend and the only one available is the person responsible for the situation. And it doesn't particularly help that she is inclined to like him.

Meanwhile, for Beast:
Utter. Panic.

:D I really shouldn't be enjoying this as much as I am. He does deserve to have his head set straight about other people's perspectives...

Beauty and the Beast is the best, in all of its multitudinous variations. This comic is amazing. I shall now leave a comment for encouragement, and note that I'm quite glad that there seem to be recent updates. (Haven't looked in since Act One.)

Oooouuuuuuuch, this entire page hurts! Of course you couldn't ask before, Beauty, but I'm glad you're finally letting this out. The Beast looks thunderstruck at her words and at her starting to cry like this - god, she needs a hug, though I doubt she would accept one from him. This really is the definition of mixed feelings here - she likes him and wants to be near him, but how can she feel that way when he's the one keeping her here? Though for the record, Beauty, I doubt he's taking this entire situation as well as you think he is - he just has years and years of practice at hiding how upset he might be.

I have built Close to the water myself. I found the tears rolling down in Movies and even a Comic Strip not long ago.
Not so much in real life. But i know it depends on the Situation if i need or can stand a hug or not.
I would not know myself what to do as a witness. I think I would try the hug. I am 1.95m and 130kg a big softie and hopefully not a threat.;-)
