being that I am a man of faith I believe that life is a matter of chance and only one thing is shure

I would agree that only one thing is sure (God, thanks be), but life is certainly not a matter of chance ;-)
I believe God has a hold and complete command over everything, including everyone's individual lives. Therefore life simply cannot be 'a matter of chance,' as you put it.

I hope I said nothing offensive to anyone. Just stating my opinions. Anyone who wants to can agree or disagree if they like.

ffs Beauty you could have sailed the Queen Mary 2 through that opening in the conversation.

Points for keeping the questions coming, but still.

These two always seem to be *just* edging around the subject, don't they? She could have asked about the one person who came to see him, but changed the subject. I think (or like to think) it's because she's been around him enough that she knows when he's not comfortable with a question; given the rather intense conversation they had a few hours ago, I'm not surprised if she doesn't want to go diving right back in again.

AbigailBrooks in regards to destiny, I think this section is suggesting that even with the addition of magical involvement/intervention in a life, what path someone's life takes is ultimately determined by their choices and no other force. The Beast seems to agree with that - though again, he's self-deprecating about it, saying that his current path was determined by him not being brave enough to choose another, basically. Oh Beast....

He says he "used to" believe in fate but now suspects he could have made different choices if he'd had the courage to-

It's not quite the same thing but it reminds me of when he was asked to take care of that dog.
