Yeah, see, there we go. She doesn't want to be touched by you, Beast. You've scared her and, I think, may have accidentally led her on with the pretty scenery and the kisses to her hands. Mind you, Beauty also kept looking at your human reflection and lost perspective that way, so this isn't entirely your fault. But you not breaking out of your--your speech of self-deprecation and despair--until this point did not help, either.
This might actually be one of the saddest pages in the comic--because Beauty does want to have more with the Beast, but she can't accept him for what he is right now. That's a realistic reaction from her, I think, and it definitely makes me wonder how we move on from here. How do you bring these two together when, at the midpoint of the story, it seems like it will be impossible?
