"We don't talk anymore, we don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore, like we used to do
We don't love anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore, like we used to do"
Beauty, I'm not sure you're the one who should be apologizing in this situation--after all, the Beast hasn't been forthcoming about who he is (he still isn't), so how are you supposed to make a decision on whether you can or can't be with him? How can you be blamed for being uncertain when you're still learning all of the facts about him?
The Beast, for his part, seems to realize that he messed up badly with her. His shock and sadness and how he holds himself afterwards--and the way his reflection is no longer human--indicates how devastated he is, and that things are going downhill from here, at least in the next chapter.
I see it a bit different. He explained in the beginning that he doesnt want to be pitied or lied to. She seemed tough and taking it Forward, ignoring his beastbeing for the wrong reason. The reflection of his past she sees, not what he is now.
Beast opened up from his Shell removed the armor around his heart, because he thought she was on the right path taking him as what he is. And had to learn that she was not as far he thought she was with understanding the Situation. All with his restrained ability to open the truth.
So the Pants or the momentum is back to the beast. Looks like he has to give her space to think it over and open the Cage and hope for the best. None of the birds he had before came back though. It hurts, but still it was the best for them.
