Hey gang! It's TCAF weekend! come and find me at table 218 -- I'm hard to miss, literally at the top of the stairs! Or, you can drop in on the anthologies workshop at 10 am Saturday morning, or swing by the children's area at 1 pm where I'll be doing some live drawing activities!
Now that they've both had some time to calm down from the overwhelming emotions from last night, I am hoping that this conversation will clear some stuff up and be helpful to both of them.
I'm reading it as the Beast asked for her romantic love and/or sexual interest (mostly former) and promised her the love of a human heart and soul - his own - in return. Basically, everything in the reflection at its best. Reflections can show truth, but they can deceive as well...
You really, really should want to talk about last night, Beauty. The ambivalence surrounding it will only make you miserable, even if confronting it is scary. As for the Beast's speech...I both agree with it and don't. He is right that they're not able to give each other what they need right now--it wouldn't be appropriate, given the power imbalance between them and how much she doesn't know about him yet. But obviously they do care deeply for each other, so when they do overcome those obstacles, I think they will be able to give each other /exactly/ what they need.
