Well, it's been an interesting week! The StArt Faire Excellence in Webcomics Awards were announced and Beauty and The Beast came up in both the Writing and Drama categories! Voting is ongoing for the Peoples Choice award, so if you would be darlings and give it a vote, I'd be very grateful!
A page from Regards to the Goblin King (one of two pieces I wrote for the book) was featured in the Winnipeg Free Press' article about Secret Loves of Geek Girls, which is now available from Dark Horse, as well! Pretty exciting times.
Wait, who is talking in panel five? Blonde eyebrows like the eldest sister, but too angular of a face... so her husband? But he has dark eyebrows in panel two?
Yeah, Temperance's reaction here seems like she really does want to take the dresses and go live a different life. Presumably family loyalty is stopping her?
I confess, normally shipping is E X T R E M E L Y S L O W, like unforgivably slow, but you may have gotten lucky and gone out with the last studio shipment yesterday, in which case it could get to you quickly!
So Virtue, at least, seems to have made peace with her status as a farmer's wife. Temperance, though, seems to want to go back to the life they used to lead--which is understandable, given that she cannot pursue her writing or education here as easily as she could in the cities. I think family loyalty is keeping her here, but she is definitely tempted by Beauty's offer. I hope that when the story resolves, she'll be able to pursue her dreams without worrying about how her family will cope without her.
