"Negotiate"

Measure taken
In each one's eyes.
Their roles defined,
The curtains rise...

I'll second awjsflsjdf's comment on the hands (which I'm sure doesn't come as a surprise :D), and add that I love the sense of motion and tension in that last panel---Beast standing and what looks like Beauty flinching back hard enough to wobble her chair.

Well at least someone in-universe is bringing up the value of the flower bit. I understand where she is coming from, but I do feel bad for the Beast. There's probably only so much he can explain to her, thanks to magical restrictions. Her lack of denial of him being a monster definitely makes him sad, though doubtlessly he expected it and probably thinks of himself that way. Pretty sure the Beast has some sort of depression, which would make sense, given his situation. And yes, I agree, there is good motion in the bottom panel.

And HERE is the very real humanness, the desperation, in Beauty.

Beast is so closed off! And Beauty takes quick conclusions. I'm missing the 'house keepers' though, do you introduce them?
