Lots of business this week! I got a thumbs up on one of the Secret Projects and a thumbs down on the other (which is a relief, to be honest, it would have been a massive, massive workload with a lot of hoops to jump through). I promise neither of these ones are babies, and I should be able to talk about at least one of them by next month!
In other news, a documentary that was partially shot at my studio has its theatrical release this weekend! the trailer is HERE. I'm the one in the blue dress. ;)
"You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill. I will choose a path that's clear. I will choose free will!" -RUSH
I just found this comic today, and I have greedily been reading it all day. It's so good and so full of mystery and I am just in love with all of the bird imagery on Beauty and her mother.
"If the egg's shell does not break, the chick will die without being born." The bit about the sleeper never waking, even if the world crumbles around them, reminded me of that. It's interesting to me that Beauty's mother is the one who appears in the dream to tell Beauty this--to tell her to consider doing something about what's happening, or she might have doubts and regrets about it for the rest of her life. I suspect that Beauty's mother struggled with a choice of similar magnitude to this, between giving up her life with her family to save Beauty, or to stay with them but lose Beauty as a result. On another note, it's ominous to me that Argus's face is covered by the rose sigil and that he's still holding onto that knife.
