Memories and I'm gonna guess he's about to talk about small regrets?

He's probably gonna be like, 'you want something else, something unlike the others. I did too.'

So close to the big moment where Beast and Beauty meet again.

Was he concious enough to know she went off to die "usefully" in his place? Because awkward.

Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at place?
I don't remember growing older, when did they?

"When did that stop?" Probably when Beauty started to weigh more than seventy pounds and the branches could no longer carry her weight. I used to be an avid tree-climber as a kid until that happened. Also upper-body strength is not the forte of young ladies unless they work at it--all of their strength is in the legs and stomach, usually, so that probably contributed to that too.

But anyway. I feel for Not Swan Dad (I know he has a name I have just completely spaced on what it is). He did his best to provide for his children, but that meant that he was often away on business and couldn't spend as much time with them as he would have liked. With Beauty, he had more time, but it still wasn't enough to get to know her the way he wanted to. That's a really sad thing to realize, but now that they're adults and talking about this, maybe they can start to bridge that gap.
