Its almost I wanna say poetic (but tragic) or ironic how he's in a throne room. Even if its the maze. Those vines and thorns wrapping him in what haunts him. Regrets, anxiety, etc Well thats how I see it.

Hmm this is either gonna be good he's asleep or bad. But she's found him at last!

That's no throne. That's the fountain.

I don't know if someone else told it and I was not paying attention to the comments or what, but I'm the only one thinking this Beauty is the bravest one? Not just rushing back, but pulling out weeds in the maze, I can see he's quite tied so my guess is she will need to untie him too, not just finding him and saying some kind last-minute words... she's the heroe of the story! (it wasn't so clear in other versions were she was less active, I mean)

If you'd like another more active Beauty, I'd suggest Bryony and Roses by T. Kingfisher. She spends a lot of time gardening. And this page reminds me a good bit of the climax of that book.

I'm guessing that finding him was only the beginning of the battle. Stay strong, Beauty!

Am I the only one that saw beast hanging there and instinctly thought: that nearly looks like beast IS the heart.

(his position in the vines has a strange heart-like shape to it, and the vines look like vains)

And then the sleeping beauty will be kissed back to life by the brave one. End.

You have a Patreon? I've been reading this for over a year and had no clue! Put that up at the top or something!

Whenever I see Utena references (even the faintest glimmer of one), I squee so much because both Utena and this comic are certainly the right way fairytales need to be told.
