I'm torn between flashbacks to the Beast saying the whole "you've done it before" line when he's asking the castle if it's so wrong for him to be happy with Beauty (takes one to know one, perhaps?), and hoping Shadow-Argus has said precisely the wrong thing and is going to lay a verbal "I've learned and grown and you have no power over me unless I give it to you" smackdown on him.
NO! I think that the castle is turning each other against. Beast with his past and murder(?) and Beauty's Mom, is she is the real one with her ancestry.
What if Beast gives in and kills 'Argus' but in truth he kills Beauty????????
Yeah, the Beast's human side knows what's up. It makes me wonder if the castle is trying to encourage this self-reflection, even though all of the evidence points to it benefitting from the Beast's stagnation (but who knows, maybe it's bored of the brooding). As for the rest of the page, gooooood, Swam Mom is acknowledging that Beauty's sisters factored into her decision (it would have felt weird if they didn't) and that her bargain was also to benefit them. That's new and comforting information. That means Beauty wasn't the sole beneficiary of the contract Swam Mom made, so she doesn't have to feel "responsible" for "taking" their mother away from them. That's a relief!
