Ohhh, I love have the first panel just swoops up like that! The second one reminds me of the royal apartments I visited while abroad - you're making good use of your references, I see! And yes(!), on Friday she will enter the lit room and find the Beast! I can hardly wait! I'll bet he's not expecting her - though perhaps he's already heard her coming down the hall! We'll see.
Yes, actually...it's kind of a little bonus for myself. Waaaay back in early, early drafts there was a whole subplot about artwork and art history (I did my first degree in fine art, and I was studying in Italy when I wrote a lot of what became BATB), All but one or two references to artwork are gone now, but a degree of it still sort of informs how I draw The Castle.
Gah! That first panel! And the unicorn tapestries! And the way the dark swallows her up until she rounds that corner (gasp! a lighted room awaits)! You're killing me with gorgeousness, Megan!
Ominous windows and uuuuuunnniiicccooorrrrnnnnssss! You know, considering that she was on a ship during a violent storm, it makes sense that a storm like this would make her nervous, even if she is in a sturdy building that can take the wind and the rain. But I'm not going to complain if she runs towards where the Beast probably is. No siree. Next page!
Looking forward to the next update!
Sincerely,
Abby
