I...don't think that's what Beast truthfully wished for her to see.

I'm pretty sure you've been told this before, but I love reading your comments

Well this is a pleasant childhood memory! Nothing screams manipulator and class A guilt tripper like someone who says "Look what you made me do" "You forced me to do it" "You made me punish you"

(Pst, consistency: Beauty's right hand is missing the bandage)

I can still hear: "that hurts me more than you". That was the worst of it all.
The Young Entity 4th May 10:32 PM, 2018
Oh yeah, I hated it when my parents said that right before whacking me on my little bum. :-/
It made it much worse.

Did she kill the bird? I really want there to be another explanation, but I'm not seeing one.
Paula Richey 5th Jun 1:58 PM, 2015
Pretty sure she killed the dog, too.
Beast's psychopath mom may have progressed to killing people for all I can tell. O.O
Kawaii overload!!! 5th Jun 3:32 PM, 2015
Maybe Beast's mom is be the one who turned him into a beast in the first place.
Could it be her, Ms. Megan?
Michael 24th Apr 6:38 PM, 2017
sure. for the animals and birds of course to make a tough guy of him. He is soo pathetic as he is and Needs some correction on that soft heart bullshit.
The Young Entity 4th May 10:35 PM, 2018
I bet she killed it just like she killed Aornis, poor things (things referring to the bird, Aornis, and Argus)

And Michael, some men could use a great deal more of softheartedness. Being tough (or looking tough) isn't the most important thing in the world, you know. I greatly hope you were being sarcastic.

I struggled with what to say about this page, but it really boils down to: I want to burn that b**** with fire.
The Young Entity 4th May 10:37 PM, 2018
Let's do it together. :-)
Anyone got a flamethrower handy?

Hello! We met at the con yesterday!

I was the girl in green with the bunny ears. I love your comic, I binged it today before and after work. I can't wait to read more! :)

"Was it her?"

"Of course it was."

MsMegan 8th Jun 5:01 PM, 2015
wow, good memory!
TolkienOverTwilight 9th Jun 7:28 AM, 2015
To be truthful, I went back and looked it up, lol! That line had always stuck with me because we were never quite sure who Human!Beast was talking about. Now there is no doubt. And it hurts like hell.

Beast is perseverating so much on, "Mother," that the fountain obliges in showing his. . . Of course, Beauty doesn't have the context to put the puzzle together.
AbigailBrooks 24th Aug 4:01 PM, 2015
Aaaaaaaaaaah, now the fountain is bringing up the Beast's memories so strongly (I really should just switch to calling him Argus at some point, but I'm so used to just calling him the Beast) with magic that even Beauty can see/hear them. Is the fountain actually connected to his mother somehow, or is it just similar to it in the role it plays in his current life? Also, is forcing him to remember this another way of punishing him, or is it a more literal scolding and a reminder of what might happen if he tries to defy her and help Beauty?

Also, WOW would this woman's picture be next to the word "abuser" in the dictionary. All of the stops are here - blaming him for her terrible actions ("Why did you make me hit you," essentially), rather than taking responsibility for them; accusing him of being selfish for caring about people/creatures other than her; and then making it out that she's the wronged party here. She is also furthering the idea that because she's suffered in the past - perhaps due to her pregnancy with Argus or having to raise him - that it excuses how she's abusing him now. Oh AND SHE ALSO KILLED HIS PET BIRD, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, LADY? God, I really hate this woman.

oh, his mother was so vicious!
