Extended use of accursed Castle may cause heart palpitations, shortness of breath etc.

Ooohh :o... the plot thickens
Sophi(e)a 24th Oct 12:00 AM, 2017
I have a bad feeling about this.
Tursiops 24th Oct 12:53 AM, 2017
Get out of there, Chewie! ...I mean Beauty!
ch1ck4do0dl3 24th Oct 1:01 AM, 2017
Oh boy... I wonder how ironclad the contract the Beast made (or started to make) at the end of Act 2 is, and how that will affect what happens next, assuming Beauty does indeed attempt this.
Sophi(e)a 24th Oct 1:40 AM, 2017
That is exactly what I am worried about.
the selkie wife 24th Oct 2:30 AM, 2017

like i admire the sentiment behind your feelings, but. girl. can't you tell how BAD of an idea this is?
Cat 25th Oct 6:26 PM, 2017
Especially since, the way the Beast was talking about his own contract, she'd realize that the Beast would never, ever, EVER want her to 'go through the same thing' as he is. And yet Beauty somehow doesn't seem to realize that.
Congrats, Beauty. If you go through with this, you might be 'sharing the burden', but you will have made Beast feel like it's his fault this happened... not making anything easier on him.

Well. This turned terrifying quickly. Beauty has good intentions, but I imagine if the Beast were there, he'd be *extremely* quick to tell her why that's *not* a good idea. Trouble is, he's not there to warn her. Nobody is. And that's...yeah. Terrifying.

totally agree with other commenters but i love the new turn of the story, because i didn't knew until this page but i hate the usual "no, dont die, i love you" and enough said about true love... not actually realistic, isn't it? in real life would be much more like this moment of doubt, of suffering, of compassion, i can connect with the need of empathy for the beloved one, so, much more adult focus here, BRAVO!!
Guest 24th Oct 6:24 AM, 2017
Lord, show me how to say no to this. I don't know how to say no to this...

I am intrigued. This is very adult of her. I wonder what she will exhange to help him?
Sward 24th Oct 6:36 AM, 2017
What if the trap is thinking you have to make a bargain?
Silvre 24th Oct 8:21 AM, 2017
Whoa!! This is taking an unexpected turn.

Yes, evil soul-eating castles will make totally honest deals, kids. Nothing to worry about. D:

Honestly, I like that her thought isn't to bargain to take his burden on her own shoulders completely (a direction other stories might have taken this), but to offer to share it. Relationships shouldn't be based on self sacrifice, they should be built on equal effort from both partners.
Sybilla J 27th Oct 2:08 PM, 2017
THIS. Normally I'd be like BEAUTY, STOP. But knowing this, and thinking about the end of Cruel Beauty (another BATB retelling)... Well, it could potentially end well if they end up sharing the burden. Who knows?
Londerlander 24th Oct 3:24 PM, 2017
It's only forever ... not long at all.
Fluffy 24th Oct 7:00 PM, 2017
Alright Beauty but you have at least one contract (not even including that other bit related to her mom) on you already idk if you want another.
Sarah 24th Oct 9:24 PM, 2017
Beauty! Don't do something you'll regretted again.
samoa 24th Oct 9:47 PM, 2017
I've been wondering if it might come down to something like this, since unlike the original story he's not cursed in the traditional way where if he performed some task (got a girl to kiss him/agree to marry him/declare her love/whatever) he'd get his humanity back. His beastly form in this version is a manifestation of the contract his dying breath and blood made with the nebulous magic, so really there was no escape clause the way there would be with a curse. I'd been curious how this might be resolved.

RESEARCH, GIRL. Seriously, read the fine print first so you know what you're doing!
Cat 25th Oct 6:54 AM, 2017
"If I do the same thing, something that he admits he hated doing and regrets, would it be better?" Beauty, No.
Mad Hatter 25th Oct 1:24 PM, 2017
BEAUTY NO! I know you want to help him but don't do what you're thinking!
MissElcia 25th Oct 2:56 PM, 2017
And I quote......."All magic comes with a price!"

Usually one you don't really want to pay once you actually real the fine print of the deal.
Carol 25th Oct 9:29 PM, 2017
No, no, no, nonononoNOnononono. Bad idea. Very bad. Noble, but bad. Think this through, honey.
AshErika 26th Oct 11:45 AM, 2017
to quote Jurassic Park 2

"... worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas."

is the evil castle making her think this because Argus/Beast is dying and the the place doesn't feel like saving him, so she's his "replacement?" or wants two "mediators?"

AbigailBrooks 24th Dec 5:17 PM, 2018
NO! BAD IDEA, BEAUTY! The castle is using these tactics because it's desperate. It's trying to get you to bind yourself here so that it doesn't lose the Beast to you. If you make a deal with it, you'd be walking right into its trap. Your heart is in the right place, but don't do it!
